1. To better understand capacity building in your field, you need to build a collection of articles looking at the various methods of increasing organizational capacity. Before completing this Formative Assessment, reflect on how organizational capacity is used to evaluate and enhance the performance and growth of an organization. Now select a variety of research sources that address capacity building from your selected organization’s perspective.

Organizational Capacity Assessment
This assessment aligns with the competency for this module: Assess internal and external capacity of the organization, reviewing major tangible and intangible portions of the organization to understand their individual and collective impact on achieving maximum effectiveness and productivity. In this Assessment, you will show your knowledge of your research by analyzing a research article that you found within the field of capacity building. This article should come from the annotated bibliography you developed for your Formative assessment.
Understanding how to critique an article will aid you with the writing of your own article and to help you provide clarity to the various components that go into a research article. You will use this knowledge as you are reviewing articles to use while developing your research skills and then later in the program while writing your literature review and to determine your research methods for your dissertation.
