From a BAPTIST CHRISTIAN PERSPECTIVE write an apparent contradictions issue paper in using the passages/issues below and attempt to reconcile the apparent contradiction(s) therein. The paper should be organized according to three sections: 1) The student should include a robust summary of the issue, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the nature of the apparent problem. Both the inerrantist and critical perspective(s) should be well represented. 2) Then, the student will defend Scripture’s internal consistency using the text, context, history, background, syntactical and grammatical clues, and any other hermeneutical and apologetic skills. The argument should be substantiated with reputable sources. 3) Finally, the student needs to briefly delineate any implications of their argument. In other words, the student needs to explain why their argument matters to the theological/apologetic task. Students must follow proper Turabian formatting for footnotes, bibliography, front matter, etc. (front and back matter NOT included in minimum page count). In addition to Scripture itself, no less than five scholarly sources should be consulted, though the student should engage with more in order to receive highest marks. The quality of the sources and the student’s engagement with them will be considered as part of the grade for the assignment.
