About This Discussion
At the end of each term I get a flood of comments about how students have learned enough about climate change in this class to be able to explain the science to a friend, family member, or even a stranger that they met on a plane. In some cases this gave them a couple of hours to try on a new conversation with someone they would likely never see again. For me, this is the most exciting aspect of this class but I generally don’t get to hear the details. Hence, I have now created this Discussion Board so you can share these stories with each other.
Instructions
Request a free copy (链接到外部网站。) of The Nature Conservancy Booklet (primarily an images with some text) that covers the following topics:
Meet people where they are.
Connection outweighs facts.
The goal is conversation, not conquest.
Focus on the person across from you.
To avoid being put on a mailing list:

Create an outline for yourself in Word based on the discussion prompts below, then set forth with your explanations!

1. Level Addressed? (1 pt)
Describe the level at which the person (s) was/were stuck:

There is nothing we can do to solve this problem.
2. Helpful Explanations (2 pts each, 14 points max)
Tell the story of how the conversation(s) went (or logic in case of an online video) and what explanations seemed to be the most helpful. You are welcome to use links or videos from any of the F2F or online lectures or even another video or website that you find online. Just share the resource in your post and explain the features that were most helpful in the conversation. Separate your explanation for each science concept you cover into a separate paragraph. 2 points for each science explanation covered.
