As a college student, I have become increasingly aware of the importance of ment

As a college student, I have become increasingly aware of the importance of mental health, both in myself and the people around me. The pressures and responsibilities are not an easy thing to deal with even for younger kids in school. Mental health refers to a person’s emotional, psychological, and social well-being. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. (Background information) To reach good mental health for me there are Multiple options to help my mental health. With work it is hard to take time for myself so when I cannot take time for myself, I will try these Three different forms of activities to help with my mental health physical activity, writing my emotions down such as a journal, and working on conversing with another person I feel safe with.
Physical activity is not just working out, it is also not just a way for me to focus on my weight, it will also be a way I can let out stress and release things that are on my mind. Playing with my dog Taco is an effective way to work on my physical activity by taking him on walks, playing chase or even fetch outside. While playing with my dog I will not be able to be present in the moment, and my mind will not wander. By engaging in these activities with my dog, I can reduce my stress and anxiety levels. It will allow my brain to release a chemical called endorphins in my brain that will not only help with a more positive mind set, but it will also allow me to be in a better mood leading to better mental health.
