Task description:
Part A: Analyse a range of curriculum documents and teaching approaches and demonstrate how the general capabilities and cross curriculum perspectives can be integrated into your chosen curriculum area (LO2, GA5, GA6).
Part B: Plan a student investigation for students in the middle school to undertake which would incorporate some of the learning outcomes from the curriculum but also allow cross curriculum perspectives (LO1, GA5, GA6).
– Part B should include:
The rationale for your choice
The exact wording of the investigation task you would give to the students
A clear identification of the curriculum area learning outcomes for this student investigation
An indication of general capabilities that would be supported by this investigation and links to at least one Cross Curriculum Priority
A clear statement of prerequisite knowledge required
An outline of scaffolding strategies you would use to support students who need that support
A rubric for providing feedback to students on their work; with some sample suggestions of student responses
