Create a Learning Moment Documentation to share the story of the learning of a child or a small group of children.
Select one or two pictures of a child or children engaged in an activity. This is an activity that is not a teacher directed activity, but rather a picture of children engaged in learning through play. Choose a name for the child/children.
Write a brief Introduction – “set the stage” –describe the actions or events that led up to the story
Tell an interesting story: write a description of what occurred. Create a children’s dialogue, if you have several children in the picture whenever possible. Write in complete sentences.
Communicate what the children are learning (interpretation). Explain what the children are learning – as viewed in the picture and described in the “story.”
NO bullets! Write in complete sentences. Communicate the information about the child/children’s learning so that the information you provide is meaningful to parents and families
Create a Title
Using the format provided, create a one page Learning Moment Documentation. The presentation should be aesthetically pleasing and written in a professional manner that would be interesting and meaningful to parents and colleagues.
