The purpose of this assignment is to prepare your WordPress environment in XAMPP so you may continue to explore the WordPress web publishing platform.
Create a WordPress installation by downloading XAMPP, performing the installation of XAMPP, configuring a database, and then performing the WordPress configuration.

ASSIGNMENT 2:The purpose of this assignment is to begin publishing in our CMS! We will explore the different elements identified in the introduction to begin to populate our site. For the requirements below, you should bear two things in mind – you are working towards a final project, and you should solidify your topic now. You might choose to build a blog representing your favorite hobby, a personal portfolio website, or a site for a hypothetical organization. However, your posts, tags, categories, etc should all revolve around a cohesive topic. (After grading, but before the final project, you will be allowed to change/remove/add categories, posts, etc.) With that stated, for this assignment, in your WordPress installation:
Create at least two categories.
Create at least 5 posts, each of which has 2 or more blocks, one category and at least one tag.
Create at least two static pages, one of which is your homepage.
Create a menu which allows navigation to each of the prior static pages, and to each of the (two minimum) category blog pages.

With your submission, write in the text block a proposal of what you wish to be your final project topic.
