By now in the class, you’ve become familiar with the common mandatory an nonmandatory benefits offered by employers. For this assignment, you will develop and deliver a presentation in which you will build the business case for your organization to implement a benefit for employees. The new benefit you propose must be something new and innovative. (The benefit should not be something already commonly offered as a benefit , e.g.: medical, dental, tuition reimbursement, etc.)
Imagine that you are delivering this presentation to c-suite executives that are the decision-makers on the matter. Your objective is to get them to say yes. In order to do so, you’ll need to make it as easy as possible for them to make a well-informed, data-driven decision. Anticipate their questions and proactively present the information before they need to ask it. You’ll need to discuss:
Description of the new benefit
What is it?
Who are the target employee groups?
Why is the benefit offering timely and important?
Competitive intelligence
What’s the origin story of this benefit? When and where was it initially offered?
What other organizations offer this benefit, and how has it impacted the firm(s)?
Business impact
What is the business needs for the benefit? What is the current practice of benefit? Why is it wrong or otherwise suboptimal?
What are the advantages and any disadvantages associated with offering this benefit?
How much will it cost? What vendors will bee needed to provide this benefit?
What is the return on investment?
Who benefits most? Who benefits secondarily, and who may see this benefit offering as a disadvantage
How will implementing this benefit affect the average employee, and client?
Implementation Process
What does the organization and/or its decision makers need to do to implement this benefit? (Consider, how much of that can you prepare for them? Do and much as possible to make it easy for them to just sign off on the benefit.)
What is the communication strategy that should be applied?
What concerns will the employees have and how can the organization soothe those concerns?
Your presentation should be approximately 5 minutes minutes in duration.
Since there will be no live questions, your presentation must demonstrate extensive depth of research.
You will be graded on your presentation’s content, depth of research, your delivery of the presentation, and your use of technology (audio, video, hyperlinks, multimedia, and appropriate use of slide transitions, animation, and images).
Be sure to cite your sources, even if you only use the textbook.
