For week 4, I would like you to discuss possible applications of the use of simulation in your primary place of employment. As you lead the discussion, I would like your examples to be as specific as possible. For example, what variables would be considered random, what variable(s) would be considered the dependent variable(s) in the described application?

Globalization Impact/Airline Industry Analysis (200). There are TWO documents required in this project:
1. Country Analysis: You will prepare an analysis of the impact of globalization on a country (Germany) (See the minimal elements you must address after the due date section of the syllabus. You should include specific attention to some of the main forces associated with globalization (technology, trade and integration, offshoring and outsourcing, migration, transportation, environmental pollution) and the impact of these forces on different stakeholders (such as domestic companies, workers, farmers, indigenous cultures, and different demographic groups) within that country. You should draw implications of the issues and their impact on international management practice. The body of this analysis should be in the form of a 5-7 page double-spaced paper with references both from the text and 3-4 outside sources. You must use the headings provided and cite your references within each heading information.
2. Airline Industry Analysis of your country (not the same as the US airline industry): You must complete an analysis of Porter’s five forces: Buyers, Suppliers, New Entrants, Substitutes, and Competitors of the airline industry in your chosen country.) This section of the paper should be around 4-5 pages with information about at least 3 competitors, suppliers, buyer groups (what age groups fly most and provide the most income to the airline industry in the country), substitute travel offerings (i.e.: train system in Germany and UK), and any new entrants in the last 5 years. You must use each of the 5 forces as a heading and cite your references within each heading information.
You will need a works cited page at the end and a cover page. Do not use Wikipedia. It is not a credible source.

Individual Case Study:
Cases should be 3 pages in length and include a one-page summary and review of the case prior to answering all discussion questions. The case summary is meant to inform the reader of what the case was about and and what the main themes and points of the case were. The subsequent one to two pages should focus on answering the questions posed, including personal insight, example, and opinions. Very important: This should be done in essay format and follow in the same style and format as your first page summary. The questions themselves should not be included in the assignment just the answers.
Used the book for sources no outside source. Read: Planning a New Launch Program (Chapter 5, page 129) to answer the discussion questions.
Here is the Discussion questions for the assignment:
1. What adjustments would you make at this point?
Would you cancel the program or run it at a loss?
2. Draw a Gantt chart of the sequence and timing of
key activities. What insights does this give you
regarding the plan and its implementation?
3. What do you think went wrong? What do you see
as the strengths and weaknesses of the planning
process used in this case?
4. LDC seemed to follow a planning process that had
worked well for its mid-level managerial programs.
Are there differences between senior executives and
mid-level managers that might explain why the plan
did not seem as successful as anticipated? Could
these differences have been anticipated? Should
they have been?
Very Important:
Assignment should be in essay format
double space
No outside source, use the book for sources
Read: Planning a New Launch Program (Chapter 5, page 129) to answer the discussion questions.

This week, we learned about different types of leadership directives and leaders

This week, we learned about different types of leadership directives and leadership styles. As a reflection of these principles, visit the website of General Electric, a powerful MNC in energy and power systems, health care, finance, and appliances.
<
Discover GE’s international operations, learn about its product lines, review its new and existing members on the board of directors, and review its latest annual report. Then answer these questions with a focus on GE’s leadership:
<
1. On how many continents and in how many countries does GE do business? Does GE offer different product lines in different countries? If so, why, and if not, why not?
<
2. Using the Managerial Grid (Fig.13-2), in which country or countries could GE apply each of the 5 management styles? Give examples of each of the 5 styles.
<
3. Using the Managerial Grid (Fig. 13-2), which leadership style do you think the GE corporate CEO could implement on a global basis, and why?
<
4. Reflect on this Module and this course and explain whether the leadership style you chose in # 3 above matches your skills, abilities, and personality. Why or why not?

Ethical behavior is paramount to an organization’s short- and long-term success.

Ethical behavior is paramount to an organization’s short- and long-term success. For your final Discussion Board reply, read this source about common unethical IT behavior. Then, select an organization that has experienced one of the behaviors noted in the article (https://sites.google.com/site/cyberethics01/home/common-unethical-behavior-of-students-and-teachers).
<
Discuss the following organization-specific information in your response:
<
1. What unethical IT behavior was demonstrated by the selected organization or its employees?
<
2. What are the potential consequences for both the organization and the individuals involved?
<
3. How can the organization prevent such behavior occurring in the future?
<
4. Actively monitoring the behavior of employees who are using the various IT systems in the corporation would be one such approach. Would you be happy with your company adopting that approach? Explain your reasoning. but that could create new problems. Explain?
