Choose a global disaster topic of interest to you. This could include any topic we’ve addressed in the course or one we did not have time to cover. The only condition is that your topic has to be a disaster event outside of the U.S., and can be a current or past historical event. Using the rubric criteria, develop an outline as your paper proposal. You will upload your proposal for me to review and approve your topic, and include research information (i.e. journal articles you will review, background, etc.), sources, and other preliminary information. The assignment should demonstrate you have met the objectives of the course, and will also provide you with a jump start on your final paper.
Your proposal should include:
• Title
• Topic: International disaster of choice.
• Introduction: Brief introduction that outlines the disaster of interest.
• Pre-disaster assessment of the population, preparedness/readiness/response/recovery programs, etc.
• Impacts experienced by the community.
