Part 1:
For this assessment, you are going to use all the skills that were discussed within the module. You will find and analyze a series of television commercials. I want you to find a total of 6 television commercials, with two utilizing strategies that appeal to ethos, two that appeal to pathos, and two that appeal to logos.
On a document, I want you to post the YouTube link to the commercial and explain in 50 words or more how it appeals to ethos, pathos, or logos.
Part 2:
For module 7 you will be giving a persuasive speech on a proposition of fact, value, or policy. Make sure to review pages 267-277 in Exploring Public Speaking if needed.
For this assessment, you will brainstorm 5 propositions, with at least one from each category of fact, value, or policy. Identify each one with a label for fact, value or policy. Each proposition should have a degree of controversy within them because there is evidence on both sides of the argument.
Once you have listed each proposition, explain in 50-100 words why this is a controversial topic.
