OVERVIEW
You will prepare an annotated bibliography in current APA format consisting of at least 30 peer-
reviewed academic sources relevant to your proposed dissertation research. This is not a
literature review and should not be prepared as a literature review. Instead, it should be prepared
according to the template provided on the Concept Paper: Annotated Bibliography
Assignment page: Sample Annotated Bibliography.
INSTRUCTIONS
You should include no fewer than 30 academic sources. Most sources should be
fewer than five years old, though every field relies on seminal works that may be
older. For works cited that are older than five years, please ensure that your
annotations explain and justify their inclusion.
The annotated bibliography should be prepared in current APA format according to
the template linked above.
Each annotation should be at least 50, but not more than 250 words in length, and:
o should state the central thesis of the source being cited; and
o should explain how the source’s author(s) support their thesis; and
o should evaluate the relevance or applicability of the source to your research
interest.
