1. Display and discuss student evaluation methods and tools for 1) comprehension of content (didactic), 2) skills lab and simulation, and 2) clinical performance. Discuss how these student assessment methods can be applied in a fair, objective manner for all students.
2. Investigate how the student assessment methods described above are used in course and program evaluation for the nursing program. What are the relationships with student assessment data and course development and revision?
3. How does student assessment data assist in measuring end-of-program student learning outcomes?
Use the 6-6 rule for slide presentations (no more than six words per line, no more than six lines per slide). Use bullets and phrases on the slides, avoid using complete sentences or paragraphs.Use images or graphics to augment or clarify understanding of the content. If used, review how to cite graphics or images on a slide presentation in chapter 7 of the APA guide. Review examples 7.3 and 7.8 for formatting. If a graphic or image is full referenced on the slide; it does not need to be referenced on the full reference citation page. Avoid using “busy” graphics or tables, that are difficult to read due to small print or blurry images. Cite references used on each slide, similar to citing references within each paragraph. A minimum of three references are required.
Post your slide presentation to DQ #4 and to the Assignment link by the due date. (Students will provide feedback to at least two peers on their presentations in Module #5.)
