Create your own layered collage, infusing aspects of your culture to create meaning or in the manner of Romare Bearden or Jaune Quick-to-See Smith, of your campus or hometown environment. In choosing your images, you should consider personal history, culture, childhood memories, and key events. You may include in the collage a photocopied picture of yourself. You should communicate your environment and concepts to others.
Materials: 8 1⁄2” × 11” background paper, glue stick, scissors, pencil, magazines, painted papers or solid papers for collage materials
