Your second project will task you with designing an email blast for a non-profit animal rescue group advertising their next adoption event. Students will be given some assets and parameters that they must include (branding, size, and copy) and will use the skills they have added to their repertoire thus far to create a unique, visually appealing email blast for the event.
During part one, you will research animal shelters, existing email blast designs and ads that relate to the subject matter (animal shelters/rescues, pet-focused brands.) Then you will create at least 10 unique sketches for your proposed email blast designs, and write a one-page design proposal. You will upload your proposal and high-quality scans or photographs of your sketches to the discussion board by Thursday for feedback from your peers and also turn them in for your Project 2, Part 1 grade.
Your e-blast should include at least five images and the shelter’s logo. You may combine photographs to create a new composition or use a grid-based design to showcase the images. Additionally, it must include all relevant information including the shelter logo, shelter website, adoption event location, event time and event date. You have also been given some required copy to include. The headline/tagline is up to you, as are any additional elements. Consider including things like social media icons/links and photos of adoptable pets to make it more realistic.
