Your story should follow the conventions of the E.D.D.

Desenlace: la resolución
Your story must demonstrate two key features of the story style.
For example, if you choose a fábula, the characters should be animals and contain a moraleja.
Be as creative as you want.
Now it’s time to think about the style and length of your cuento. Remember, you are writing a short story that should not be over a page in length. Your cuento corto should be 2–5 paragraphs, written in Spanish.
At this point in the course, you’ve learned the present, present perfect, present progressive, conditional, future, preterit, imperfect, subjunctive and the imperfect subjunctive tenses.
You are not required to use all of them, but you will need to include:
three different tenses
one “if” clause
one example of subjunctive mood and indicative mood
Using the basic information from your template (plantilla), write 2-–3 complete sentences in Spanish to introduce your original story. Make sure to include the information below and double-check to ensure that you have included the grammar and writing requirements presented in the assessment instructions and on the plantilla.

Now you will use your template (plantilla) to elaborate the body of your short story. Remember, you are writing a short story that should not be over a page in length. Your cuento corto should be 2-–5 paragraphs written in Spanish, so the body should only be 1-–2 paragraphs of complete sentences in Spanish. Include the information below. Double-check to ensure that you have included the grammar and writing requirements presented in the assessment instructions and on the plantilla.
el conflicto (conflict to resolve with self, others, or an uncontrollable force of nature)
some mythical, magical, or imaginary elements or characters
a plot twist
Using the information from your template (plantilla), you will write a conclusion paragraph resolving the conflict and ending with the moral or message, if your story has one. You will write one paragraph of 3–5 sentences in Spanish and will need to include the information below. Make sure to Double-check to ensure that you have included the grammar and writing requirements presented in the assessment instructions and on the plantilla.

Now you will need to follow the steps to edit your story. You should show the changes, edits, and revisions that you made. Your instructor will not only grade your story but will also grade your editing. You will need to show at least fourexamples as evidence of editing. You can show your copyediting like this:
Original sentence: El príncipe luche contra el dragon. Copyedited sentence: El príncipe luchó contra el dragón. (concordancia y ortografía)
