Focus:
Build a fun game that will be entertaining and an interesting challenge for our target
demographic, the 18 to 35-year-old gamers. We believe that given some early marketing
surveys that they would enjoy a mind numbing simple game that they can use on their mobile
devices not unlike the Tetris style of games.
Mission:
Build a prototype game system that we can expand out into a franchise if it is accepted as we
feel it might be. Again given our early targeted surveys.
Alternatives:
In looking at various approaches to gaming and after watching gaming conventions as well as
Comic Con type events, we as a group started talking about all the possibilities for a new game
development company. One that does not act as others have done but remained in a fun
spirited environment and produced a product that we, as gamers, would enjoy. If successful we
believe that we could expand our initial offering and make an entire suite of simple mobile
device games.
Alt. 1 Don’t do it. Of course the reasons will be many for not doing it.
1. Too much time and efforts
2. We are too busy at College
3. We are too busy with our families
4. We are too busy with our work
So it would be a huge inconvenience to build this product and successfully market it.
There are also numerous reasons to do it; however, if we don’t do it our lives will be much
simpler and easier though we will miss a huge opportunity.

Alt. 2 Build a Game based off of another well-known game similar to a spin-off product.
This option or alternative has some merit
1. It would be easier to do given that we know a number of games that we could imitate.
2. Our time to product would be less if we obtained permission to spin-off.
3. Legal issues might be a struggle; however, our fearless leader knows several shyster
lawyers.
4. Many time and effort constraints would be minimized.
5. Investigation of this alternative would take time before we would start a full-fledged
development effort.
That said, the overall cost of the development effort might be less depending upon legal
agreements between the originating game company and ourselves.
Alt. 3 Build a game from scratch as we have thought about over the past several months and
over a large quantity of alcoholic beverages. (No driving after consumption was allowed)
1. This option has huge up-side potential; however, it will be more difficult and time
consuming.
2. Demographics will have to be absolutely correct for a market
3. User profiles will have to be accurate
4. Test marketing with a limited number of potential rabid users will have to be conducted.
5. Testing will have to be done in the primary potential markets
The major issue here is getting all of us to agree that we are willing and able to commit to this
endeavor! This is a major development effort with potential high costs in both time and money.
Though we have discussed it most of us believe we can do it.
Alt 4 Contract out to one of the established local (Atlanta based) gaming development
companies and have them do it.
1. Build Product specifications will still be a major initiative, and time consuming
2. Legal arrangements and payment of “real” money up front and stages will have to
be considered.
3. Will the group as a whole or as individuals be willing to pony up this kind of money?
4. How much will it cost versus how much could we make from the efforts? (ROI)
5. What if everyone is not on board with this approach? Legal contracts created to
create the entity we create as well as the founders/ group!
6. Will the time frame for the development be one that we can agree upon and will it
get us into a market when we need to be in it?
This approach will give us a real product; however, we will pay for it in more than just one way.
The criteria and planning, the project management from our side as well as the “Third Party”
developer will have to be determined and discussed as to viability.

What major ones do we make?
What generic assumptions do we make?
Are there any causal factors for success or failure?
Are these critical and are fatal or go – no-go, and why?
