Hi folks, welcome to the sixth forum!
First of all, keep in mind that religion is a very delicate topic, so please be considerate and respectful toward each other.
Here you have some hints to navigate the chapter:
Page 149 of the text: focus on the four elements that create a link between religion and violence.
Pag. 153, pay attention to the main characteristics of the religious leader. Remember that, to be charismatic, the religious leader doesn’t need to be particularly smart, he just has to be defiant and show strong faith in his doctrines.
The concept of hate is a powerful, unifying force, it can make even good people do bad things.
On page 171 focus on two important concepts: sacrifice and martyrdom.
