How do key indicators (demography, political economy, geoeconomics, government policy and security considerations) influence your assumptions? What areas should the nation focus on for the future?
Papers should be 7 – 10 pages long, with standard (MLA or similar) footnoted citations and a bibliography. The paper should have an introductory para discussing what you plan to prove (your hypothesis), a set of well-reasoned arguments with supporting details (a thesis), and a conclusion.
Your written assignments will be evaluated by the following criteria:
Logic and supporting evidence:
Does your argument support your title and thesis?
Do you cite your sources (footnotes)?
Do you use a range of sources, and consider a potential range of alternatives?
Quality of the argument:
Does the argument make sense? Is it clearly stated? Does it take a clear position, or is it purely descriiptive?
Is your argument interesting and/or original?
Writing quality:
Is the writing clear?
Does the structure of the paper develop the argument?
Is the grammar and spelling correct?
