I will apply to a graduate school for a Master’s in Public Health. The concentration I will be applying for is in Environmental Health. The experience I would like to highlight is a fellowship I am in with the NYC Department of Health and Mental Health. I am a fellow in the Pipeline to Preparedness Program and I am working on a project on Radiological/Nuclear Emergency Preparedness. I interviewed experts on communication on how to effectively create and spread educational materials to the public to prepare them for a radiological/nuclear emergency. I have always been interested in sustainable living and the effects the environment has on our health. A goal of mine is to gain skills in research and environmental health that can be applied in futuristic inventions that will help balance green living and urbanization.
