Introduction/Thesis (main point—how does literature teach us lessons about real life?)
SECTION I
Discuss the play.  Discuss the lessons that Shakespeare seemed to stress through the tragic hero of MacBeth.  Use specifics from the performance and discuss how the lessons presented are still relevant.  Be specific, but AVOID PLOT SUMMARY.  You will probably need more than one paragraph to fully discuss this.
SECTION II
Discuss other characters (or modern heroes in general).  These can be from other books, movies, TV shows, etc.  What wisdom can be gleaned from these characters’ mistakes?  Be specific and use ample detail, but do NOT summarize plot.  More than one paragraph will likely be necessary.
SECTION III
Discuss how people tend to learn the hard lessons of life—and how you specifically tend to learn lessons (literature and/or media, experience, witnessing experiences of others you know in real life).  Discuss whether you actually pay attention to the lessons of the lives of others, and what value can be gained in paying attention to the lessons of other people.  Discuss specific examples of lessons you have learned from others—or of lessons you WISH you’d paid attention to.
Conclusion
Emphasize the answer to the main questions— how does literature teach us
