Thesis statement (This is what I wrote so far, so please take it as an example)
3D animation production technology has begun to develop rapidly, and has now become extremely sophisticated, making it difficult to distinguish the parts using computer graphics technology from the live-action filming parts. Meanwhile, Disney’s 2D animation division was on the decline because the emergence of 3D animation at the time was recognized as a new expression technique and received attention from audiences, and the efficiency of the work process was relatively superior to 2D animation.
Nevertheless, 2D animation production technology has a long history and they are still found attractive to audiences. it is not difficult to find recent attempts to combine 2D and 3D animation technology.
Regardless of both advantages or disadvantages, this fusion changed the animator’s creative process and workflow- and also has a significant impact on the final visual quality and style of the animation.
This paper illuminates the complex relationship between 2D animation and 3D animation through exploration of these dimensions. It also aims to investigate how the integration of 3D elements has reshaped the animation environment through research of techniques for inserting 2D characters in 3D animation(vice versa), and provide a comprehensive analysis for the future.

Conceptual Plan for Artistic Project:
In my artistic project, I plan to create a short 2D animated film that incorporates 3D elements. The film’s storyline and visual style will be crafted to showcase the creative potential of blending 2D and 3D animation tools.
