Remember write in a scholarly tone using scholarly words and phrases with proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Read sample literature reviews for more direction.
Be at least 6-7 paragraphs, but not more than twelve paragraphs
Begin the Literature Review section with a short 3 sentence paragraph describing your search parameters such as what databases were used (ProQuest, Google, etc.) in your search for references and what key words were used – this is required!
The Literature Review is not the Annotated Bibliography but written as an essay that flows easily from one point or idea to the next. It is not just a vague statement on the source like the Annotated Bibliography, it is specific findings on the topic from the source that is shared in the Literature Review; you are sharing the knowledge found about your topic from the source. What was found by these authors, what was stated, what was discovered?? Be specific.
The Literature Review starts immediately after the introduction section – no spaces between the sections. They flow immediately after each other!!
IN ADDITION!!!! Prepare your reference page in APA format!! Corrections made to the Annot Biblio references should be adjusted for this section now. Remember – the list is the same references as the Annotated Bibliography!
