Prompt 1: While access to higher education has steadily increased, access and graduation rates for underrepresented groups is still constrained. Sophisticated transitional sentences often develop one idea from the previous one or identify their logical relations. It guides the reader through the chain of reasoning or progression of ideas.
8 points – Evidence and Support
Uses evidence appropriately and effectively, providing sufficient supporting material and explanation to convince. All 5+ references are incorporated.
4 points – Grammar & Spelling
The paper is free of grammatical errors and spelling & punctuation.
4 points – Citations/APA/References/Page limit
All references and citations are correctly written and present. Page limit of 4-5 full pages is met.
