Design a research project that uses either a quantitative or the qualitative method. You do NOT have to carry out the study. The proposal should contain the following components:

The literature review should be built on the two previous assignments, Summary of Research Topic and Article Review, but you are encouraged to add new studies or make changes to your reference list as you continue to develop your research ideas. After presenting the lit review, specify your hypotheses and predictions. For qualitative proposals please provide a description of what themes you think would emerge). To make a contribution to the field, your research proposal should be asking unique questions on a topic that is of interest to you.
Methods – Provide a clear description of your ideal participants (e.g., age, gender, etc. – any descriptive information that would be important to your study), the sample size, and how participants will be recruited; explain any materials that will be used to conduct your study; explain the intended measures and what these measures are measuring; explain the process of how you will conduct your study aka what the experience will be like for the participants; for qualitative papers, provide a description of how the information you will obtain will be coded for themes.
**NOTE: In empirical papers, methods sections are typically broken down into subsections such as participants, measures, and procedure.
Expected Outcomes and Applications to Education – Please describe the expected findings of your paper, discuss how these findings will make a significant contribution to theory, and how they can be applied to improve educational practices (educational implications). You are welcome to include your expected findings in graphic form.
References – Include a reference list using APA formatting for all source material (e.g., articles, books, videos, ministry documents, etc.) that you incorporated in your paper.
Appendix – Provide any additional resources that support your paper/study (e.g., sample survey, table, figure, etc.).
**NOTE: This is section is OPTIONAL.
Length – The length of the paper, excluding title page, references, and appendices, should be 10-pages double spaced. You will be penalized if the paper exceeds 12-pages.
