READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE YOU START
In each answer, you must cite the required textbook.
I will not accept outside sources unless you use them in addition to the required readings.
You MUST use in-text citation (author, year of publication, pages used). You MUST include page numbers (Alvarez and Bachman, 2021, pp. 100-120) or the section of the chapters you use if you are using an ebook (e.g., Alvarez and Bachman, 2021, subsection title).
I will not accept answers that are not properly cited (that means if the author and/or page numbers/and/or sections are omitted).
You are not allowed to quote any of the text! This means you MUST paraphrase the text. Everything must be in your own words and properly cited.
Do not answer any questions using “quotes” from the readings, even though you must provide pages/sections of chapters in your in-text citation. Everything must be in your own words.
The citation requirement of pages is for paraphrased text, as NONE of the text should be quoted.
The only quotes you can include are from videos. However, should you include a quote from a video, you must discuss it in your own words, drawing connections to your argument.
Plagiarism will not be tolerated (e.g., copying word for word from any source or not citing a source you used).
You are absolutely not allowed to quote me or cite my powerpoint slides (e.g., Paladino, 2021, Lecture 3). Text copied directly from the slides will be considered plagiarized and thus, you will not get any points.
Citation is not counted in the word count.
Submission:
You must submit this document in the format received (e.g., Word document) or it will not be accepted.
Do not submit a .pages or pdf. If you are using a Mac, you can save your document as a Word file. Scroll down to Word on the dropdown menu for the file extension when saving your document.
It is your responsibility to upload the right document and make sure the file you upload is not corrupt. If you upload the wrong document, immediately reupload the right one (an email explanation is not necessary).
Things to consider
If you want to re-watch the videos/films, I suggest taking notes on scenes that are relevant to your responses. That way, you can “kill two birds with one stone” by writing parts of your answers while watching!
Be specific when making references to the videos. Do not provide only a citation. Explain its applicability, describe and explain the relevance of what happened in whatever scene(s) you’re referencing.
Be as objective as possible, and do not provide your opinion as the foundation to your argument.
Do not restrict yourself to the minimum work limit. Such limit is based on a concise response.
Provide substance. Be careful with providing “fluff” or “superfluous information. Stick to the task you are required to do.
PROOF READ your work. If I cannot make out what you are saying, I will not be able to give you any credit.
There are 11 questions. Answer every question using the template provided. Do not delete the questions or the question #s. Do not create a new document or delete or alter the written tasks or instructions. USE THIS DOCUMENT* Answer each part to the question.
