Traits of Highly Effective Leaders and Servant Leaders
Purpose: The purpose of this assignment is to encourage candidates to conduct further investigation on the construct of leadership to formulate their thoughts around the qualities of effective leadership.
Expectations: It is an expectation that response be substantial in the sense that it is focused on course materials and refers to them. Please make sure you use APA style and use in-text citations for quotes or summarized materials if you use any. Citations and references are not required on this assignment. Again, if you choose to use citations and references, please use standard APA reference/bibliography format.
Task: In 4 or more pages, address the following:
1) After reading through the power point titled “Dispositions Assessment, complete the Asbury Dispositions Survey” (both are uploaded in the Other Resources Folder). Then watch each of the themed videos, Traits of Highly Effective Leaders and the Principles of Servant Leadership.
2) First, discuss your key takeaways from the disposition survey, your strongest disposition and lowest scoring disposition. Address such thoughts as to if there were any surprise results, if you agree with the final outcome, areas of strength and areas for growth.
3) Second, identify two traits from each of the Themed Videos power points that you feel are strengths of yours and compare them against your findings on the survey.
