Select a composer in the History of Western Music between antiquity and the early baroque. From composer, select a seminal musical work and describe it’s function and impact. Provide a description of setting, innovations, context, and purpose of the piece. Discuss why this piece is important to subsequent generations and yourself; that is, how does this work, event and compser inform and influence you as a musician? Paper should be double spaced, adhere to APA style guidelines, and include six to ten references. Paper should be between six to eight pagesin length. Submit your final draft as a hard copy to the instructor.
