Self-Monitoring Project–
Specifically, the assignment will be to track a minimum of one and a maximum of four symptoms, discomfort, or medically related problem over the course of a minimum of 14 days. You will rate the occurrence of your selected symptom or target behavior in a paper—n-pencil diary while simultaneously observing any suspected triggers of the symptom in the vicinity when you began to more clearly experience the symptom. You can add one or two moods that are of great relevance to you e.g., anger, fear and track fluctuations in those moods in relationship to your symptom reports. Your report is expected to take three single spaced pages.
I would like you to write this project about using an apple watch to track the steps walked in my day. Please begin by saying I walked about 3,000-4,000 steps BEFORE the project. On these days I felt less energized and unmotivated. For the self monitoring project, state that I walked 10,000 steps for 14 days straight. Say that I felt more energized, slept, better, more of an appetite, etc. (healthy things).
Page 1 should include an introduction of the project and how it will be carried out. Please include I am a great candidate for this project because my daily steps average low and I struggle with lack of motivation/energy and mild social anxiety. Then, begin the daily diary entries. Please RATE my symptoms on a scale of 1-10. Keep track of 7 days for the steps I took before the project (3,000-4,000 steps). Please rate the following categories in each day: how I felt emotionally, slept, energy levels. Please date and write out each day a collective diary entry. Next, track the next 7 days and diary entry about the days i walked 10,000+. Each date of ALL 14 days should have a date (begin early May) steps count, how I felt emotional, how I slept, energy levels and anxiety levels. Please organize a nice chart to easily read 14 days of rated categories.
Page 2: include 1-2 charts/graphs that displays the changes over time in 14 days. Compare what has changed, increased, or decreased in the 14 days.
Page 3: include a detailed summary of the overall experience and the outcome of the project. Describe how my relationships and free time have increased with joy and motivation, etc. This should be a full page summary.
