The Historical BedRoom:
Part I:
- Based on Weeks #4 & #5 readings, lectures, attached below, you are designing the Historical BedRoom for your client. Research and take notes on the following:
- Furniture
- Accessories
- Interior design details and finishes (flooring, walls, lighting, etc.)
- Architectural details and shapes (ceiling, windows, etc.)
- Organize and submit your findings in PDF file.
Part II:
- Based on research from Part I, select the following for your clients BedRoom:
- Floor finish(es)
- Wall finish(es) NOTE: pay attention to details of this time period!
- Ceiling finish(es)
- Bed (1 minimum, but you are welcome to do more if your client is designing bedroom for siblings, twins, triplets, etc.)
- Lighting (2 items minimum)
- Other furniture items (3 different items minimum)
- Accessories (4 different items minimum, one of which can be window treatments)
- You will need to save images of each of the above and add a short description of how this item meets the style. Arrange all of the above on mood board and submit in JPEG or PDF format.
