The Historical BedRoom:

  • Part I:
    • Based on Weeks #4 & #5 readings, lectures, attached below, you are designing the Historical BedRoom for your client. Research and take notes on the following:
      • Furniture
      • Accessories
      • Interior design details and finishes (flooring, walls, lighting, etc.)
      • Architectural details and shapes (ceiling, windows, etc.)
    • Organize and submit your findings in PDF file.
  • Part II:
    • Based on research from Part I, select the following for your clients BedRoom:
      • Floor finish(es)
      • Wall finish(es) NOTE: pay attention to details of this time period!
      • Ceiling finish(es)
      • Bed (1 minimum, but you are welcome to do more if your client is designing bedroom for siblings, twins, triplets, etc.)
      • Lighting (2 items minimum)
      • Other furniture items (3 different items minimum)
      • Accessories (4 different items minimum, one of which can be window treatments)
    • You will need to save images of each of the above and add a short description of how this item meets the style. Arrange all of the above on mood board and submit in JPEG or PDF format.
