The Outline/Sources should be one document, containing the following 3 parts:
Part 1: Provide the approved paper topic and date that you gained approval.
Part 2: Provide a detailed outline of your paper. To find more information on how to write an outline, please view the following website:
https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/544/03/ (Or connect with the Clark State Writing lab in the Success Center)
Part 3: Students should cite all references using APA style. Students will lose points if they cite sources that do not discuss the topic of their paper. This is an upper level Psychology course and APA style is required. A minimum of 5 sources are required and they should be no older than 5 years old. Please see the paper instructions for more details on the requirements for references.
To view more information on how to cite in APA style, please go to: https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/section/2/10/
The Clark State online library can be utilized for your research paper – did you know that they even have 24/7 assistance?
Students will lose points if:
1) The Outline & Sources does not have at least five valid scholarly sources (if you do not know what a scholarly source is, be sure to contact the writing center or Library). Your sources should be current (not more than 5 years old, unless your subject includes a historical comparison). Your textbook may count as one source.
2) The Outline & Sources is submitted late.
3) The Outline & Sources is not submitted.
4) The submission does not contain a detailed outline.
5) APA formatting is not used.
6) The submission is not well written.
Below is an example of the outline/sources
Note: This example should have a bit more developed outline – it is not a perfect submission, but it provides a good example to get you started.
