The project consists of a short 3-page term paper and a 5-minute (± 15 seconds) video presentation.
Students should (a) select a recent Manufacturing PMI or Services PMI report from the term project
module in Canvas, and (b) summarize the report in your own words. Students are free to use additional
references. In each PMI report, you will find the main PMI index and ten associated sub-indices. You can
focus on the PMI index alone or the PMI index and some sub-indices. It is unnecessary to include all the
eleven indices in your project. Please do not copy directly from the original report as plagiarism will not
be tolerated. Each submitted paper will be checked by Turnitin in Canvas. Term papers that have a
Turnitin similarity index above 50% will receive an F grade.
The term paper must be typed in 11 or 12-point font, double-spaced, with 1” margin on all sides. In
addition to the 3-page limit, please add (1) a title page for students’ names and other information, and
(2) a reference and/or appendix page for references and appendices (if any). Please use proper
headings to organize different sections of the paper, and use appropriate tables, figures, or diagrams to
summarize your data. You can copy the tables and figures from the original PMI report, but you must
cite the source. Also, ensure that the written report is well organized with logical flows of ideas,
internally consistent, well-consolidated and integrated into a cohesive article.
