The Tindall and Shi book will be used for the reading responses. As you can see on the
schedule, there are 15 reading summaries due and you must submit 9 summaries via
blackboard on the due date by 11:59pm (it says response due on the schedule). Which 9
readings you submit is up to you and if you complete more than the required 9, you will
receive extra credit.
To try and alleviate the crush of work caused by the three-week period, the reading
responses are due at the end of the week. You can submit them any time during the week
in which they are due. But be aware of the time constraints. Late responses are accepted
for partial credit.
For full credit on the readings, submit a 300–400-word response to the assigned reading,
which should be approached from a critical perspective (it is not a summary of the
chapter). You must answer questions that are posted on blackboard under the
assignment, which should include factual information as well as an analysis of the
authors’ interpretation, use of evidence, or approach to the subject matter.
