Pick a specific time period and event covered in our class to actually experience and make this a 1900-word, typed paper due. Use at least one book source (avoid the text and encyclopedias), one scholarly journal article, and one primary source, utilize in-text citations, provide a Works Cited page, & use no more than two internet sites, or you will not get credit for the paper. (it may be helpful to look through Google Scholar for your scholarly journal article)
{Topic Chosen: I will write my paper as an apprentice/assistant who worked under Niccolo Machiavelli. I will talk about my experience working under him and his impact on the Renaissance. I will also talk about his book “The Prince” and its effects on religion at the time.}
-Paper topics cannot be changed once they are chosen. Research this enough to know where, what, who, & when you are in history. I don’t want you to write a 5-page encyclopedia entry in the 1st person. Be more original.
(For example, If you are going to be in The Peloponnesian War, for instance, then I want you to really be there. What would it have been like to live that way? What would you have hated the most? Would you have charged on command & how would you have gotten past the fear to do so? -This is not the topic just an example do not mention this anywhere in your paper)

– an example I was there research paper was also provided by the professor that I will link, again do not reference the example. you also do not need to copy exactly what the professor did and write a letter to someone. For example, you could also write diary entries or logs.
