This assignment is experiential to some extent. I would like you to pretend you are a social services worker who is trying to help a person recover from a substance abuse problem and to try to help his or her family recover from the impact of this problem drug use over time.

Research online and read about substance abuse treatment services and options within the State of Oklahoma. Educate yourself about community services, how people access those services, their effectiveness (if available), and the details of what the treatment programs involve. One example is the Monarch treatment center in Muskogee. You could read about that center, how it works, what it costs, how patients access services, family supports that are involved, etc.
You must find reputable sources online, which means staying away from any websites that are trying to sell products or are based on religious beliefs. If you can find evidence-based practices that would be even better. This would mean that the program has data and results that show/prove they are able to help people recover from drug abuse.
After you find articles and do your research, please write a 3-page paper summarizing the research you have found. Be detailed.
Your paper needs to include a description of how you would assist this family, what recommendations you would make for a treatment plan and your continued involvement with the family over time. What are their expectations of you? What do you need for each family member to do to overcome these problems?
Be certain to mention fully your sources of information within your paper. You do not need a bibliography or works cited page.
The paper should be 3 pages in length at a minimum.
Your paper must be written with 12-point Arial font with 1-inch margins. It also must be double-spaced.
You will submit your assignment by attaching it to this assignment.
