General Information and Instructions:
During this course, you will be analyzing a series of cases based on specific diversity management situations. Analyzing these cases will help you to develop your ability to identify, explain, and provide solutions for issues associated with managing diversity in the workplace. In each situation, you are expected to research textual materials to develop your analysis.
For this exam, you are being given three mini case studies. Your answers should be in essay form within the word count parameters. As with the larger case study you will be doing later in the course, you should start your response with a very short description of the situation and the issues that are presented, (no more than 50–100 words). When responding to the questions you should refer to the concepts we have discussed in class, and support your answer based on what you have learned. For this assignment, first read the backgrounds of Ligua, Mary, and Michael on pages 35–37 of your textbook.
Case Study 1: Read Case Study 3 on page 72. Answer all the questions within the parameters above.
Case Study 2: Read Case Study 2 on page 183. Answer all the questions within the parameters above.
Case Study 3: Read Case Study 1 on page 213. Answer all the questions and the following:

  • How might Ligua’s cultural background influence her behavior?

Each case analysis should not be more than 2–3 pages in length. Exceeding the word count will result in deductions to the assignment score. Your work should be submitted in a Word document, typed double-spaced, in 10-point Arial or 12-point Times New Roman font. The page margins on the top, bottom, left, and right side should be 1 inch each. You should use APA guidelines for writing and citations.
