Be careful as you walk and reach for things, since you may not be as accurate. Your brain is not accustomed to using only one eye. After 20 minutes, go into a darkened closet and shut the door. Look around with the un-patched eye. Now, take the patch off and close the eye that was never patched. Look around again. What differences do you see in vision using each eye?
Go back to your book and find out WHY these differences are experienced. Write about your experience and why you saw what you did. Be sure to talk about what is happening on the cellular level with rods and cones. Why do you think that pirates traditionally wear eye patches?
