15 page paper in Postcolonial studies. Use poetry of W. B. Yeats to consider how it was decolonizing in nature. Include at least some or all of these poems: Leda and the Swan, Easter 1916, The Second Coming, The Lake Isle of Innisfree. It must include a major Postcolonial/World Literature theorist (I would suggest Edward Said and his “Yeats and Decolonization” [Free on internet] or Pascale Casanova’s “The World Republic of Letters”, both have explicit Yeats sections) as citations in the paper. Also, at least one paragraph that ties Yeats’ work into World Literature (i.e. uneven development, circulation, periphery and core, or etc.).
