research-informed, specially making some references to Sally Brown and Luke Powery, Ways
of the Word. A
typical essay structure should be used, such as a brief introduction, three to
four paragraphs, with each paragraph emphasizing a theological insight as it
pertains to preaching, and a short conclusion restating the main points.
Note:
Introduction: A brief but catchy introduction. You want to grab the
reader immediately and pull them into the blog. End this with a transitional
sentence: In the following I will address (state what the main points will be).
Then develop each point in a paragraph. Then provide a conclusion. Remember to
footnote your sources (but the footnotes should be more sparingly used).
