- You are required to read the three empirical research articles in the week two folder titled readings and an additional empirical research article on Individual and Households (IH) preparedness. After reading all four articles address the following
- Why is the study of disaster preparedness fundamental to the HSEM profession and overall community resilience? (introduction)
- Provide a definition of disaster preparedness
- Discuss what it means for IH to be prepared for hazard events
- Discuss some effective strategies that the research says is being used by IH to prepare for hazard events
- Discuss the extent to which IH engage in the preparation form hazards like terrorism.
