you are to conduct a case study of one of the states mentioned in “The New Competitive Authoritarianism” (p. 53)
There are 4 basic elements of a case study, and how I want you to approach this paper.

The introduction of the problem or issue [here you may summarize your first paper]. This should be no more than 1 page of your 4-5 page paper.
A literature review of the problem in a specific context. Here you will discuss the competitive authoritarianism in the country of your choice. you are required to summarize at least two (2) scholarly sources on this topic. Please utilize the Dallas College Libraries’ Databases and use the Academic Search Complete to find your resources.
Possible solutions to the problem. For your selected country, what are the expectations for the future? Can your selected country move back to a more legitimate democracy?
Conclusion and areas for future research. Here I want you to consider everything you have learned about competitive authoritarianism and apply it to the case of the United States. Would the US ever be at risk of falling into competitive authoritarianism? Which of the elements of competitive authoritarianism are most vulnerable in the United States? Why?
