I already wrote half the paper including my own personal experience and will attach it as “draft paper”. I ask that you please add some research and make it sparkle. I will also attach a couple reading document you may use as sources
Directions for the paper:
You will use your observations of a child or small group of children to write a case study that is grounded in the theories and research literature we’ve discussed in class.
As you observe your student(s) of focus, pay attention to the relationship of the individual/group to subject, the teacher, other peers both who are similar and different. It is ideal to observe this student(s) on at least two, if not more, occasions.  Here are the questions you need to address:
Considering this student’s development in all areas, how is he/she typical of what the research says?  How atypical? How do you know?
What ecological factors (such as culture, home, & SES) may shape this student’s identity and school experiences?
What potential barriers (personal and ecological) might this student face with regard to equal educational access, opportunities and achievement? The identification of the barriers will include citations to appropriate statistical information and research. What role might your own background play in the identification of these barriers?
Identify at least one research-based strategy that will support this student’s success. Strategies can include, but are not limited to, academic supports, referrals to appropriate community-based agencies and organizations, and collaboration with professional colleagues and with families.
