you can choose one of two options:
1. Argue for Multiple Causes of one effect: In this pattern, a writer concentrates on
the causes of a situation by explaining how an outcome is the product of a
combination of causes for example, a failed birthday party caused by a number
of factors that went awry.
2. Argue that one major cause led to Several Effects: Here, one event or factor has
various ramifications, and the essay concentrates on effects. For example, a
writer might relate how the death of his/her father just after the writers
graduation from high school affected their emotional wellbeing, their mothers
financial status, and their college prospects.
You can choose the focus of your essay, but it must follow one of these two patterns.
