For this assignment, you will write a paper synthesizing your ideas from Week 3 behavior definition and data sheet paper, week 4’s classroom management paper, wk 5 & 6 Replacement and behavior reduction papers that results in a Behavior Intervention Plan for 1 student.
You will create and write a behavior intervention plan (BIP), and then share a presentation about that plan with your peers.
Pretend you implemented the behavior management plan (BMP) you created for week 4 and assume that, while the plan worked for a majority of students, there was a small subset who continued to struggle. Speculate about why those students might still be having problems. (If you are a teacher already, you can use data from your class or makeup your own data.) Then create a BIP for one of the struggling students.
Submit to this page a 5-6 page paper that includes the following:
An introduction to the classroom (don’t use any personal information)
A descriiption of the results of your observation (you can make this up if needed)
Your BMP for the classroom and a descriiption of why you think some students might continue to struggle even after the BMP is implemented
A descriiption of the methods you used to collect data
Your BIP for one of the struggling students (this is the bulk of the paper)
Within your BIP be sure to:
operationally define the target behaviors
Identify your replacement behaviors
develop recommendations for setting events and specific antecedent strategies,
instructional strategies to support generalizing and maintenance of new skills
consequences and reinforcement strategies and reinforcement schedule,
data collections and progress monitoring plan.
