Assignment instructions
I have been assigned a role for this negotiation exercise. I have been assigned the role of the buyer, AccelMedia. Review that instruction sheet and prepare for your negotiation — think about your overall strategy, the techniques you would like to use, your BATNA, target point and resistance point for each issue, and think about your opponent’s positions and goals as well.
Make a plan for the negotiation using the concepts of material, I will attached three files: Chapter 2 notes, Harball tactics, negotiations technique toolbox.
In my class, I will be placed in a breakout room with someone representing the other side in the neogotiation, and I will have 30 minutes to try to negotiate the terms of an agreement. At the start of the negotiation, me and my partner should agree on the issues that we will be discussing. We may not be able to resolve all the issues – that’s ok.
So, I just need THE SCRIPT.
On my own, me and my partner will prepare and submit their own debrief/reflection, answering the questions on the attached document. As this is a reflection assignment, my answers should refer to my actual experience negotiating with my partner.
