1) Tidbit Assignment / Delivery in one day.
While reading fiction I often will discover smaller items in the stories and settings which intrigue, educate, or excite me. Those tidbits can be historical references, geographical discoveries, cultural concepts, or other interesting aspects encountered for the first time.
Assignment: While reading the novel, look for a tidbit you can latch onto and mark the location. Expand on why the topic caught your attention and what happened because of that attention-getter (more research, self-reflection, more understanding)

These questions are parts of the modules small group discussion assignment but must be posted prior to the interaction. These two questions will be the basis for your groups discussion of the novel in the chatroom.
After finishing the novel, post two questions to the Discussion Board that you would like to have your chat group discuss. Be sure to ask questions that will initiate lively discussion.

Find an outside internet source that adds to your understanding of the novel. Think of the thoughts, ideas, questions you had while reading the novel.
What topic did you wish you had some more background on? This is your opportunity to check out information on that topic.

Then, compose a 250-words explanation of why you chose this source and how it adds to your understanding of the novel.
