I want you to know that the way that Communism is referred to in the media and how Dictatorships such as North Korea, China, and other places use Communism as a tool of oppression. Karl Marx never envisioned his manifesto to become a tool that harmed people. Break down the word. Commune- Community. It was meant to be an outline where caste systems and inequality were abolished and commodities and goods were distributed equally. He is the father of theories on capitalism. I believe that our society has created fear around words and concepts such as communism, socialism, etc. We are in college to unpack these things and Sociology’s end goal is to seek the truth through research.
