Your assignment is to write a paper that traces the trajectory of United Nations peacekeeping, from its “classic” origins in 1956, to the rise and fall of the “new peacekeeping” at and after the end of the Cold War, to the resurgence of a still newer brand of Chapter VII peacekeeping, or peace enforcement, in Africa from 2000 to the present. Make sure you identify for your reader the various turning points and phases of U.N.peacekeeping
Very important formatting requirements: The paper must be a Word document in Times or Times New Roman font, size 12. You must use double spacing, and your paper should have the standard one-inch margins, top and bottom, right and left. And don’t forget to number your pages.
The minimum length requirement is 1,600 words; the maximum is 1,800.
